Who is #LTN ?

 

I am Josh.

Bike fan since Santa ‘89. ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ was number one, again. I got my first Raleigh. Now I am much older, heavier, and more into bikes than ever. I live in south London and much of my pedalling these days will include seating for one or both of my children .. not quite TdF vibes any more. Whilst I have slipped into dadbod life, I hope to elevate you to superbike happiness in my place.

This is #LTN.

Established in summer 2021, as the country began to emerge from more than a year of lockdown, into a ‘new normal’. LTNs, Low Traffic Neighbourhoods, had arrived and they had made lots of people very mad. How better to name my new venture than after something which boils blood and alienates customers?! I think it’s called ‘triggering’… Those of you who bite the clickbait will hopefully find a place where you feel excited about your next New Bike Day. I am excited for you. Never buy an off-the-peg bike again!

This is why.

I have been designing bikes and creating one-offs for more than 20 years. In the early days, it was in the back of exercise books at the back of classrooms, dreaming of a budget I never had. Where I could, I customised what I actually had, never happy riding a bike that ‘anybody’ could buy. About 10 years later (and now more than 10 years ago!) I finally started my first real ‘dream bike’. Since then I have made several of my own and a handful for friends & customers too. Now Low Traffic Neighbourhoods can bring my nerd to the herd.
